Hibashi - fire sticks for the charcoal ceremony
The fire sticks (Hibashi Furo) in summer are made entirely of metal. In winter, when the fire is stronger and the host has to reach deep into the sunken fireplace, the fire sticks (Hibashi Ro) have wooden handles (e.g. mulberry tree).
